In 1992 Valerie began her own business, Hair Network because she thought like so many business owners think; I can do this better myself. In particular, what she was most interested in doing was cultivating a client base of like-minded people. Folks who needed a stylist who was compelled to listen carefully to their thoughts regarding their relationship with their hair. Someone who was interested in thinking out of the box or staying within the confines of a clients' comfort zone. A hairdresser who could make suggestions, be creative as well as thoughtful about cutting and coloring hair.
